Trinity Bible Church’s week one team, which included Carter and Amy, volunteered with Iglesia Biblica Cristiana’s Vacation Bible School, held at nearby Nueva Vida Campamento. The Monday through Friday program culminated in each of the age levels performing a skit for their parents and family on Saturday morning. Amy and Carter had the joy of working with nearly 60 five and six-year old children during VBS in the mornings. Almost 300 children attended the VBS program, heard the gospel, and experienced the love of Jesus! In the afternoons, we had the privilege of teaching English classes at Iglesia Biblica Cristiana; Carter was a great help with the students under eight years old and Amy really enjoyed working with the teenagers. The evenings were a time of discipleship with the adults, including one evening of teaching the church members how to use an Evangecube, an effective word-less gospel tool which was utilized by the team during week two. One of the most amazing truths Amy and Carter experienced during the week one trip was the awesome power of God to transcend language and age barriers in allowing His people to work together for His glory – His love is certainly limitless!
